As the child grows up to teenage, behavioral characteristics are predominantly influenced by the environment because of the interactive nature of people at this stage of growth as well as the ability to conform to peers and the society at large (Lerner & Bearer 2004, p. 86). At adult stages, people tend to become more independent and then less influenced by the environment.At this stage therefore nature prevails except the nurture traits acquired at early stages of growth remains effective.
